Dumfries and Galloway is a great destination in which to spend family holidays and breaks. And shared memories from your vacation can really bring some new bonds to a family.

There are plenty of activities to keep the kids amused locally too. Agnew Park in Stranraer is ideal with its pedal boats, train rides, adventure playground and crazy golf. And there's a superb 18 hole putting green in Portpatrick too - and a lovely little 9 hole short golf course perfect for beginners and budding Tiger Woods. But it's our private beach that really hits the spot.

We offer a safe, peaceful environment for your children to enjoy, have fun, make new friends and have a really good time. And our Hannay and Croft family suite is the ultimate in luxury family accommodation.

We want families to enjoy their stay at Knockinaam and as such we provide a high tea for children under the age of 12 years at 6pm to enable parents to enjoy a meal on their own in the evening.

If during your stay you wish to dine together as a family we will be happy to arrange family dining for those aged 8 years and over at 6.30pm given prior notice.
