BEACH
At the south west tip of Scotland, yet only two hours from Glasgow, lies Knockinaam Lodge cove, belonging to one of Scotland’s finest small luxury hotels, quite unique with its own private cove facing the Irish Sea - and surrounded by over 30 acres of garden with immaculate lawns running down to our private sandy beach.
The private beach is perfect for contemplative strolls—such as Churchill and Eisenhower might have taken when they stayed here during World War II.
Romantics in particular will find themselves in seventh heaven here – perhaps after the gastronomic experience of dinner, strolling along a deserted and stunning grey-blue beach watching the seventh waves roll in from Ireland across the sea.
The sunsets are quite spectacular. In summer the beach is just perfect for private sunbathing. Guests can enjoy tea and shortbread by the boathouse.
Children and well behaved dogs will just love it too. Our privileged and enchanting position at the foot of a wooded glen and sheltered by cliffs, offering wonderful views across the sea to Ireland, blended with the highest of standards of hospitality and comfort, will ensure you will leave enchanted and relaxed.
