After a relaxing afternoon join us for our early evening wine tasting. Our Resident wine expert, Ian Matthews, of Corney & Barrow Fine Wines, will be on hand to share his amazing knowledge and talk about the wines specifically selected to match Chef Tony’s decadent food offering for the Saturday evening. As a group we will decide the wines to compliment Saturday evenings tasting dinner. Dinner at leisure on the first night.
The perfect special break
Wake to a hearty Knockinaam breakfast before heading to The Cove at Knockinaam Lodge where Tom Grierson, of Grierson’s Brothers Family Butchers, will display and delight the art of butchery. Chef Tony and his team will be on hand to provide expertise before cooking the cuts on our “Big Green Egg” (a kamado-style ceramic charcoal barbecue cooker), coinciding with our famed ingredient recognition quiz, with prizes for the winners.
Tony and his Sous Chef, Ewan, will demonstrate intricate cooking techniques showcasing the finest local ingredients, many coming straight from the Knockinaam Garden. An evening reception with canapes, followed by a 6-course tasting menu with the paired wines, awaits in the evening.
