September at Knockinaam

Autumn is here and while the days are shortening, avg. temperatures remain fairly mild throughout the month with temperatures set to hit 19° over the next few weeks. The local events calendar is busy, there’s exciting flavours coming out of the kitchen and our autumn rate tariff is now live, making September a fantastic time of year to visit Knockinaam.

What’s growing?

One of the best things about autumn in Scotland is the fantastic fruits and vegetables that come into season. This includes carrots, beetroot, runner & french beans, cabbages, potatoes, artichokes, parsnips, chard, mouli, onions, tomatoes, peppers, chilli, aubergines and leeks.

Visitors across September and the rest of autumn will see this come out in our taster menu. It’s blackberry season too – read on for an exciting dessert featuring this delicious wild fruit, grown across Scotland in late summer/early autumn.
